To see is to know | Voir c'est savoir | Ver é saber
I have led and sustained international research collaborations across three continents, with extensive experience designing end‑to‑end data pipelines for preprocessing, statistical modeling, and inference. My research uses myopia as a model system to examine how optical noise propagates through neural processing, shaping perception, decision making, and action. In parallel, I am a founder and innovator, having created and led a Swiss nonprofit organization that has delivered vision care to more than 20,000 children in Brazil over +7 years. I act as a catalyst for collaboration, bringing together clinicians, engineers, researchers, and students across countries to align scientific rigor with real‑world constraints. Across academia and global health, I have built and deployed scalable vision‑care technologies, including automated clinical data pipelines, inventory systems, and gamified applications. Guided by the principle that to see is to learn, I operate across the full spectrum—from basic science to applied innovation, identifying gaps, building solutions, and rigorously translating discovery into scalable, measurable real‑world impact.
